I’m a PhD candidate at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University and a Senior Researcher at Center on Child Protection and Wellbeing (PUSKAPA), Universitas Indonesia with a decade worth of experience in designing and conducting social research on topics such as childhood policy, poverty, civil registration, urban youth and children, eviction, and housing both in Indonesia and in Australia.

Topic description
My topic is broadly about the social and political lives of residents who were removed from informal settlements in Jakarta and were relocated to public rental walk-up flats (rusunawa). I’m interested to understand how residents negotiate such displacement and what the dynamic of their everyday life in rusunawa tell us about state and society relations.
