I am an analyst and educator working on the low carbon energy transition. Of particular interest are sectoral approaches that help to create competitive advantage while effectively responding to climate change. I’m currently doing quite a lot of work on the prospects for offshore wind power in the Asia Pacific region.
I work at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University, where I am a Professor of Public Policy. I also serve on the Energy Transition Subcommittee of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee (AJBCC), am Australia Focal Point for the Energy Research Institute Network (ERIN) of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), Research Fellow in the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy (ISEP), Johns Hopkins University - SAIS, and a member of the Executive Committee & Council for the International Society for Energy Transition Studies (ISETS).
